Focal America is proud to announce that TWO of our pieces from the forthcoming FPD Digital Amplifier line, the FPD 900.6 and FPD 600.4, have received International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards for 2014.
Scheduled for launch in January 2014, the highly anticipated FPD Amplifier range from Focal offers discrete high efficiency 4-Channel class D car stereo amplifiers with extensive crossover functions (full-range, bi-amp, tri-amp and mono) and audiophile sound quality. The high efficiency variable voltage regulated power supply combined with high efficiency full range class D amplifier allow reduction of heat and size so that the amplifier can be placed in difficult mounting locations like under the seat and inside the dash. The high efficiency has lower current draw which is also an advantage in pure electric cars like Tesla, Nissan Leaf and in micro cars like Smart Car and Nissan IQ. Motorcycles, Quads and personal watercraft are also ideal candidates because they have limited alternator amperage and dimensional restrictions.
The International CES Innovations awards are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.
Attendees at the 2014 International CES, which runs January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada can see the amplifiers and the rest of Focal’s amazing 2014 lineup at the Focal Suite #2816 at the Las Vegas Hotel.
